Stan Thorburn – Maintenance Manager at Maungatapere Berries

I’ve been with Onyx Horticulture for 3 years and my responsibilities are varied. I’m in charge of all repairs, construction and general maintenance, a role that evolves and develops on a daily basis. Currently we are undertaking a huge amount of construction on a new block so that’s been keeping my team and I busy!

I love working here at Maungatapere Berries. It’s a great crew to work with and the work is never dull or boring. My previous areas of work have been dairy farming and also working at other packhouses.

I grew up in Dargaville, I’m a Northland boy through and through and I love hunting & fishing in my spare time.
